A New Team on Board

The April 2008 general membership meeting ushered in a new slate of officers who will watch the store for 2008-2009.

Mayor Ernest Strada, President of the New York State Conference of Mayors and Mayor of the Village of Westbury was the installing officer for the event. Sworn in to run our ship was Manorhaven Mayor Nicholas Capozzi who now wears the mantle of President of the NCVOA. Also joining with Mayor Capozzi was Mayor Nancy Zolezzi of East Williston who will serve as our 1st VP, Mayor Marvin Natiss of North Hills who will serve as our 2nd VP and Mayor Angel Soto of South Floral Park who now takes the reins as Treasurer.

To all of the officers we not only congratulate them but we wish them every success in the difficult job of running the NCVOA on a day to day basis.

In conclusion, we also thank Mayor Strada not only for the excellent job of administering the Oath of Office but also for his in-depth remarks on the varied issues confronting all the village governments in Nassau County and New York State.
