Co-op Purchasing

Long Island's First Municipal Cooperative Purchasing Group

Long Island's First Municipal Cooperative Purchasing Group
The purchasing arm of the Nassau County Village Officials Association (NCVOA) is called the Long Island Municipal Cooperative Purchasing Group (LIMCPG). By mandate and design this group has the authority to collect purchasing data form the member villages and municipal authorities, aggregate quantities of various commodities and services and bid those services out under a "sealed bid" process.

This purchasing co-op was formed with one primary mission: Save local municipalities money by buying more efficiently. It is the taxpayer who wins in the end when governments purchase good and services collectively. By joining forces and sharing information among Village administrators, the LIMCPG has the ability to save sizable sums on those purchases that the member have in common.

If you would like to join the LIMCPG and are an Incorporated Village in either Nassau or Suffolk County, you can send an email request to the NCVOA Executive Director, as show at the bottom of this page, and the sign up form will be sent to you by either mail, fax, or directly to your email account. Also eligible for sign on are Water Districts, Fire Districts, School Districts, and other Municipal Associations allowed by law.

A list of our members will soon appear as a link at the bottom of this page.
